Storm Recovery Update

UFCC is actively helping clean up and provide meals for the community. We are glad that nobody was hurt in Wednesday's storm. Thank you to everyone who is helping and donating food and funds. We also thank God for His provision!
As we move forward, we want everyone in the community to know the following:
- Put all debris next to the road and in the ditch. The city contracted with Buford Construction to haul out tree debris. Dumpsites will be open through the weekend 8 am to 8 pm for individuals hauling off debris. (Construction debris must go to an approved landfill.)
- The city aims to have power restored to all meters by Sunday. Close to 50% by tonight will have power in town.
- Free meals are available on Friday at the 4-H Building at the city park. Lunch is 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and supper is 4 to 6 pm.
- Starting Saturday and until further notice, lunch and supper will be available at the 4-H Building provided by the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief. Lunch will be served from 11 am to 2 pm, and supper will be provided from 4 pm to 7 pm.
- Shower and laundry services start Friday 9 am to 9 pm at the campgrounds at the city park, also provided by Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief.
- If you see any trees on city power lines, contact the city power department.
- All coordination of services, volunteers, and food is shifting to the park and 4-H Building for the weekend. If you are interested in helping with tree limb clean up efforts, please go to the 4-H building between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm.
Mayor Ballard said today, “Normalcy is coming back.”
All scheduled events at UFCC on Sunday are on as planned.
